Bien que certains prénoms français et gascons présentent des similitudes, comme pour la plupart des régions de l’actuelle France méridionale où l’on parlait la langue d’oc, les formes écrites en gascon ou en latin gasconisé diffèrent notablement des formes françaises “standard” et il en est de spécifiques à l’aire linguistique gasconne. Beaucoup de prénoms sont communs à la Gascogne et aux autres régions parlant une langue d’oc, d’autres diffèrent. Ex: Bidau (ou Vidau) en Gascogne devient Vidal en Languedoc, Quercy, Agenais, etc.
La liste qui suit énumère les formes utilisées dans les calendars. Toutes les variantes, lorsqu’il y en a, sont notées. La forme latine la plus courante est indiquée avec les équivalents français ou anglais quand ils existent, même s’ils n’étaient pas en usage au Moyen Âge.
