Going to Gascony in the company of Edward of Woodstock in 1362, and staying in Gascony with him in 1363. Going again to Gascony, and staying in the company of the same Edward in 1366. The younger or the son, kt, the eldest legitimate son and namesake of that baron of Clifton (Staffs), who had a long distinguished military career, becoming seneschal of Gascony in 1361. The son accompanied his father in military service to Gascony.
