Notes

Kt, the elder, baron of Clifton (Staffs) (c. 1305-1380). He was the younger brother of Ralph, first earl of Stafford, and had a long military career, which ultimately brought him to Gascony in the service of the prince. Going to Gascony in 1361 with troops. Going again in the king's service in the company of Edward of Woodstock in 1362. Appointed seneschal of Gascony on 1 July 1361.
