Kinsman and heir of Arnaut de Durfort III, and son of Guilhem-Ramon de Durfort (fl. 1363). In 1362 continuing a legal dispute with the consuls and community of Penne-d'Agenais concerning lands granted to Arnaut de Durfort II and III some decades earlier. The appeal was delayed until the appointment of judges with appellate jurisdiction by Edward III, the those judges were ordered to hear the appeal in the following year.
